Info:

Session times:

Morning sessions are 10-1pm
Afternoon sessions are 1-4pm
Full day sessions are 10-4pm

Check your ticket to ensure you know which session you’ve booked. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your session to sign in and get settled. Please ensure you are ready to collect your child at the end of the session. You’re welcome come straight inside when you arrive!

Signing in and out:

To help us facilitate the best duty of care possible, please make sure you sign your child in and out of class. There will be a clipboard at the front of the class. Find your child’s name and add the time you arrived/are leaving.

Breaks:

We'll have a recess, lunch and afternoon breaks, along with 'brain breaks' where needed to assist with flow, creativity and focus. Some will be taken outside in the park/playground onsite. See our location info here.

What to bring:

Half day students - please bring a water bottle and a nut free snack.

Full day students - please bring a water bottle, nut free snacks and a nut free lunch.

Kids are also welcome to bring any show-and-tell items like artwork they’ve done at home or a book with inspiring images— just nothing too precious.

What to wear:

Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.

We recommend wearing sleeves that can be easily pulled up for hands-on activities. Layers are great, so they have the option of putting on a jacket if we sit outside. A hat and sunblock is encouraged.

Comfort is key, so feel free to dress in whatever makes you feel at ease!

Location:

374 Payneham Rd. Payneham - further details here.

We are in Room 1. Feel free to come straight in via the side door, or head through to Room 1 via the reception area.

Illness:

If your child is unwell, we kindly ask they refrain from attending classes to ensure the comfort and well-being of everyone. If a student misses a class due to illness, we offer make-up classes based on availability. Please reach out to us to schedule a make-up session!

Staying with your child during class:

We understand coming to Art Club can be overwhelming for some budding artists - you're most welcome to stay until they feel settled! From there, we encourage children to participate independently in our classes. This helps foster their creativity and self confidence.

We want all students to feel comfortable in our classes. Our instructors are experienced in creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for everyone!

If you'd like to chat further, we'd love to hear from you! Please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Our behaviour policy:

We prioritise facilitating a creative, respectful and positive environment for all students. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. We follow a restorative practice approach, encouraging students to reflect on their actions and make amends. While we always aim to guide students gently back on track, if a child continues to struggle with this after a few reminders, we'll reach out to parents to discuss the best way forward and may ask you to pick up your child early. Our goal is to support every student in having a great experience!

Photography:

Some photography and video will be taken documenting the day. Please contact Ruby directly if you have further questions in regards to this.

Getting in touch on the day:

If you need to get in touch on the day, please send a text to Ruby, including your name, your child’s name and your message. Her number is 0421568876.
This could be for things like, i you are unable to make the class or are running significantly late or if there’s been a change to the person collecting your child.
