Calling all heroes and heroines! This adventurous making day explores clay sculpture, texture and imaginative storytelling! Through hand-building techniques, young artists will create magical objects inspired by fantasy worlds, mythical creatures and epic journeys.
In the morning, we’ll sculpt Adventurer’s Checkerboards from polymer clay - colourful, fantasy-inspired pieces on map-based boards. Once created we’ll challenge our friends to an epic battle!
In the afternoon, we’ll create Dragon Eye Sculptures using air-dry clay. Beginning with a painted eye centre, we’ll build a slab base and carefully add layers of scales and textures to form the watchful eye of a dragon or mysterious creature discovered on our adventure.
