Magnets, Trinkets & Ghost Lanterns

Classes Wed 16th July - Clay Day!

It’s a hands-on day of shaping, squishing, sculpting and creating! In this tactile workshop, we’ll explore two very different types of clay and create two very cool take-home artworks: quirky polymer magnets and glowing ghost lanterns. Come for one session or stay for a full day of clay fun!

Morning Session: Polymer Clay Magnets & Trinkets
Start your day by sculpting a set of fun, expressive fridge magnets and trinkets using colourful polymer clay. From silly faces and cute animals to your favourite foods or made-up creatures - we’ll turn our tiny artworks into magnets, hanging trinkets and even necklaces that can live on your fridge, wall or on you! A great session for those who love small details and playful design.

Afternoon Session: Air Dry Clay Ghost Lanterns
In the afternoon, we’ll switch materials and build whimsical ghost lanterns using air dry clay and tealight cups. Students will sculpt and decorate ghost shaped characters with big personalities - spooky, silly, or sweet - then carve out eyed and small patterned shapes for the light to shine through. A glowing reminder of a magical clay day!

A day of squishy, sculptural fun for kids who love to make with their hands — and take home something truly one-of-a-kind!

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the beautiful lands on which we create, and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging.
