Pot Painting & Plant Sculptures

Classes Tue 15th July - Garden of Imagination 2.0

Back by popular demand! One of our most-loved workshops returns with fresh ideas and even more room to grow. In this colourful, hands-on day of painting and sculpture, artists will decorate vibrant pots and build one-of-a-kind paper plants to fill them. Whether you're a returning garden artist or joining for the first time, it’s your chance to create a wild, whimsical plant world — no watering required!

Morning Session: Painted Pots
Start your day by transforming a terracotta pot using acrylic paint and Posca pens. We’ll dive into bold patterns, striking colour combos, and repeated motifs to make your design stand out. No two pots are ever the same — returning artists are welcome to make a matching set or try something totally new!

Afternoon Session: Paper Plants
In the afternoon, we’ll craft imaginative paper plants that twist, dangle, bloom or surprise! Using mixed media techniques and a medley of materials, kids will invent leafy sculptures that are stripey, sparkly, toothy or entirely made-up. Pop them into your pot (if you joined the morning session) or display them as a stand-alone creation.

A joyful, low-maintenance garden of your own design - perfect for kids who love colour, sculptural play, and growing their imagination.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the beautiful lands on which we create, and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging.
