What’s really going on inside?
This day focuses on drawing and illustration as we explore hidden worlds, secret interiors and imaginative storytelling. Through line, colour and layered paper techniques, we’ll create artworks that reveal surprising scenes beneath the surface.
In the morning, we’ll design detailed animal–house hybrid illustrations - strange buildings shaped like animals, filled with tiny rooms and secret stories. Using drawing, collage and opening flaps, our artworks will reveal what’s happening inside, from miniature bedrooms with slides to hidden laboratories.
In the afternoon, we’ll create Inside-Out portraits and Character Books - artworks that reveal surprising layers of a character. We’ll discover what’s hidden beneath the surface, from funny skeletons, little aliens operating characters like robots or magical inner worlds!
Because sometimes the most interesting stories are the ones hidden inside!
