Get ready for a full day of deliciously creative artmaking!
Across the day we’ll explore sculpture, construction and design techniques using drawing, collage and cardboard, while learning about colour theory and storytelling through food-inspired creations.
In the morning, we’ll build oversized cardboard food sculptures - imagine towering sandwiches stacked with layers of cardboard lettuce, tomato and cheese. Once our creations are complete, we’ll stage a playful picnic photo shoot, arranging the sculptures together to create a collaborative artwork.
In the afternoon, we’ll step into the world of imaginative design. First, we’ll create strange and silly chip packets with outrageous flavours, designing the packaging and stuffing them so they look full. Then we’ll make pop-up keep cups - cup-shaped artworks where something surprising bursts out from inside, like a coffee bean disco party or a universe filled with aliens.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a collection of bold, funny and totally unique food-inspired artworks!
