Pop-up Houses & Mini Clay Sculptures

Classes Tue 8th - Tiny Worlds

Step into the world of all things small! In this imaginative and immersive workshop, kids will dream up their own miniature interiors and fill them with handcrafted treasures. Whether it’s a fantastical hideout, artist’s studio, ice cream shop or wild treehouse, it’s all about big creativity on a tiny scale. (For the '90s parents out there — think Polly Pocket meets Mad Max minis!)

Morning Session: Pop-Up Interiors
In the morning, we’ll use paper construction techniques to build pop-up scenes of imaginative interiors — think dollhouses, dens, or secret rooms. Students will use drawing (coloured pencils and textas) to decorate walls, floors, windows and furniture — turning flat paper into fold-out 3D spaces full of personality and detail.

Afternoon Session: Pocket Treasures in Polymer Clay
In the afternoon, we’ll sculpt miniature items to live inside our tiny rooms — from characters and bookshelves to magical objects and snacks! Made with coloured polymer clay, these tiny treasures can also be turned into necklaces, keychains or pins for those attending just the afternoon session.

A delightful day of small-scale storytelling, where every tiny object tells a big story!

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the beautiful lands on which we create, and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging.
