Morning: Sun & Silhouette Cyanotypes
In the morning, we’ll explore the magical process of cyanotype printing, exposing treated papers to sunlight to create striking blue-and-white artworks inspired by shadows, light and layered compositions. Using cut paper shapes, found objects and natural materials, budding artists will design imaginative scenes and display them inside handmade cardboard frames inspired by vintage curiosities and magical windows.
Afternoon: Haunted Lantern Houses
In the afternoon, we’ll transform glass jars into glowing haunted houses using paint, paint markers, silhouette techniques and tiny architectural details. Artists will experiment with transparency and shadow as windows flicker, mysterious buildings glow from within and spooky little worlds come alive using battery-powered tealights. Think crooked rooftops, hidden staircases, eerie towers and wonderfully haunted tiny homes trapped inside glass!
