Morning: Tiny Clay Creatures
In the morning, we’ll sculpt miniature polymer clay animals, wearable charms and pocket-sized pets full of charm and silliness. Budding artists can transform their tiny creations into pendants, magnets, pencil toppers, Croc charms and even miniature collar accessories for their real-life furry friends while exploring sculpting techniques, texture and colourful decorative details. Think fancy frogs, cool cats, superstar puppies and wonderfully wacky wildlife! Artists are also welcome to bring along a photo of their pet for inspiration and create a tiny clay version of their furry companion.
Afternoon: Oil Pastel Animal Portrait Challenge
In the afternoon, we’ll create expressive oil pastel animal portraits inspired by majesties, astronauts, detectives, grandmas and rockstars! Using layering, blending and bold oil pastel techniques, artists will transform ordinary animals into larger-than-life characters full of drama and humour. Artists can take on optional creative challenge prompts like adding monocles, crowns, moustaches, medals, disguises and other outrageous accessories to their masterpiece!
