Come add to the collaborative storytelling! You’ll design your own character and take part in a kid-friendly, beginner version of Dungeons & Dragons - a simplified tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) that uses imagination, collaboration, and dice to guide the adventure. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to get into TTRPGs - no reading rules, just drawing, making, and playing! Perfect for first-timers, daydreamers, and curious creatives.
Already joined us for a previous D’n’D day? No worries – this session will feature a brand new, even bigger quest with fresh characters, new challenges, and even sillier surprises! Returning players are very welcome.
Our Quest: The Midnight Mystery
Every Christmas Eve, the kingdom gathers for a magnificent midnight feast to welcome Christmas Day - a celebration filled with magical delicacies, curious creatures and extraordinary entertainment. But this year, something has gone terribly wrong! The grand banquet hall has vanished without a trace, taking its guests and an enormous table laden with enchanted treats along with it. Strange clues lead deep into an ancient forest, where peculiar characters, mysterious magic and unexpected dangers await...
Your quest, should you choose to accept it: Discover what happened to the missing banquet hall and rescue its guests before the kingdom's greatest celebration is lost forever!
In the morning, we’ll build our own heroes from the ground up - choosing an adventurer type, magical equipment, and special powers using our custom Studio Ruby character sheets. Kids will then draw and decorate their hero and create a mini figurine ready for the afternoon quest.
Then we’ll play a short, simplified D&D-style game using just one die, big ideas, and the power of imagination. Players will join forces on a light-hearted, collaborative quest full of mystery and hidden surprises!
This is theatre of the mind storytelling - no screens, no game boards, just figurines, teamwork, and adventurous problem-solving.
