Morning: Face Stackers
In the morning, we’ll build bizarre stackable face sculptures using cardboard, paint and collage materials - think interlocking pieces like LEGO, but as giant art towers! Budding artists can create as many heads as they like, mixing together unusual hairstyles, giant eyebrows, funny noses, patterned skin, silly expressions and larger-than-life personalities to build towering combinations of mismatched characters. Maybe your tower theme is Halloween, maybe it’s cute candies… the choice is yours!
Afternoon: Rotating Expression Portraits
In the afternoon, we’ll design interactive illustrated portraits using spinning paper mechanisms that transform facial expressions, moods and disguises with the turn of a wheel. Using drawing, collage, paint markers and bold graphic details, artists can create puzzled professors, suspicious moustaches, dramatic reactions and wildly expressive characters bursting with personality.
