Ever wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons?

Through this magical game, step into a world of brave knights, sneaky goblins, fire-breathing friends and mysterious treasures!

Come add to the collaborative storytelling!
You’ll design your own character and take part in a kid-friendly, beginner version of Dungeons & Dragons - a simplified tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) that uses imagination, collaboration, and dice to guide the adventure. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to get into TTRPGs - no reading rules, just drawing, making, and playing! Perfect for first-timers, daydreamers, and curious creatives.

Our Quest:
At the heart of the kingdom, the legendary Sword of Gazkabar has stood glowing for centuries, wedged deep within an ancient stone in the Great Hall - its magic flowing across the land and keeping the kingdom’s protective dragons aflame. But one morning, the sword is gone. Who would do such a thing? Now the dragons’ fire is beginning to flicker, strange magic is stirring in forgotten corners of the kingdom, and a peculiar little gnome seems to know far more than he’s letting on. Beyond the Great Hall lies a land of enchanted forests, crumbling ruins, curious creatures and secrets waiting to be uncovered...

Your quest, should you choose to accept it: find the Sword of Gazkabar and return it to the Great Hall before the dragons lose their flame and the kingdom is left unprotected!

In the morning, we’ll build our own heroes from the ground up - choosing an adventurer type, magical equipment, and special powers using our custom Studio Ruby character sheets. Kids will then draw and decorate their hero and create a mini figurine ready for the afternoon quest. Then we’ll play a short, simplified D&D-style game using just one die, big ideas, and the power of imagination. Players will join forces on a light-hearted, collaborative quest full of mystery and hidden surprises!

This is theatre of the mind storytelling - no screens, no game boards, just figurines, teamwork, and adventurous problem-solving.

What you’ll take home:

Your own personalised, illustrated character sheet

Your own minature of your hero

Your very own 20-sided or 8-sided die

An understanding of how TTRPG’s are played

Already joined us for a previous D&D day? No worries – this session will feature a brand new, even bigger quest with fresh characters, new challenges, and even sillier surprises! Returning players are very welcome.

Perfect for beginners, there’s no winners or losers, it’s all about the journey and the fun! Come for the creativity, stay for the treasure and leave with a story you helped bring to life!
