Morning: Pocket Companion Keychains
Design your own collectible-style companion: pocket-sized and full of personality! Using foam and mixed materials, young artists will build a clip-on sidekick, friend, guardian or trickster, using shape, colour, costume and tiny details to tell us who their character might be. A little figure that hints at a much bigger story, ready to clip onto a bag or belt and come along for the ride!
Afternoon: Hero Habitats
Every great character needs a place to call their own. Batman has the Batcave, SpongeBob has his pineapple, and Mario has the Mushroom Kingdom, but where does your character belong? Young artists will invent an original character, then use acrylic on canvas to paint them in a scene filled with clues about who they are. Where do they live? What do they love? What treasures, tools or peculiar objects surround them? Young artists joining us in the morning can use their Pocket Companion as inspiration, imagining the place their new sidekick calls home.
From character to canvas - dream up a new companion and the place they belong!
